The White Desert is a plain of wind-carved chalk that looks like nothing else on the planet, and sleeping in it is the point. You camp in the open, eat food cooked over a fire, and see a night sky most people never see.
Bring a warm layer. Desert nights drop close to freezing between November and February.

Children aged 3–11 travel at 70% of the adult rate. Infants under 3 are free and do not count toward the group size.
There are none. This is genuine wild camping — you go behind a rock with a trowel, and we carry everything out. If that is a dealbreaker, say so and we will suggest the Bahariya lodge version instead.
Between November and February it can drop to around 2°C after midnight. We provide sleeping bags and blankets, but bring a fleece, a hat and socks.
There is no payment on this website. Send us your booking request, we confirm availability by email or WhatsApp within 24 hours, and you pay a deposit on confirmation with the balance on arrival. We accept USD, EUR, GBP and Egyptian pounds.

Comfortable closed shoes and light layers. Sites are dusty and often unshaded, so bring a hat and sunscreen. For mosques and churches, shoulders and knees should be covered, and women should carry a scarf for their hair.
