Ras Mohammed sits where the Gulf of Suez meets the Gulf of Aqaba, and the current brings everything through. Shark Observatory and Yolanda Reef are the famous stops, and the drop-offs are genuinely dramatic.

Comfortable closed shoes and light layers. Sites are dusty and often unshaded, so bring a hat and sunscreen. For mosques and churches, shoulders and knees should be covered, and women should carry a scarf for their hair.
